The programme usually starts with drill for all ages, followed by the classes whilst the PE takes place in the large hall. There is a short interval in the night’s proceedings when the canteen is open. At the end of the evening the Company has its closing parade and dismissal. The NCO’s are permitted to stay behind for an extra half hour to play sports in the hall. Occasionally, the Friday night programme is replaced with a special activity or outing. Our Pipe Band is part of the Williamwood Pipe Band which grew from the BB’s Pipe Band to become World Champions (Grade 4). The Company Section competes in District (Cathkin), Battalion (Glasgow), and National Competitions. In most competitions we have friendly rivalry with our neighbouring Companies and in or two events we join forces to allow us to field a full strength team.
